RE-ADVERTISEMENT ICT OFFICER III: (MIS )        GRADE 6N            POST:1                REF: TUM/ADVERT/EXT/ RECR /ICTO/3/M /2024

Reporting To: Information and Communication Technology Services Manager

Professional Requirements

1. Must possess a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
2. Must possess Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Technology/Information technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
3. Must have at least three (3) years working experience as ICT Assistant I at Grade 5N or position of comparable duties and responsibilities.
4. Certification in Database Administration including Microsoft SQL will be added advantage
5. Certification in Unix/ Linux Systems Administration will be added advantage
6. Possession of key industry certifications such as either MCSE or COMPTIA Server+ certification, will be an added advantage
7. Web Development certification i. HTM, CSS, JavaScript will be added advantage.

 Duties and Responsibilities

1. Providing end- users with advice, support, and training in the correct operation of the MIS systems.
2. Assist in designing, developing, and evaluation of new systems, and assisting in the modification and maintenance of existing systems.
3. Perform daily review of problem reports and change requests generated by the ICT Helpdesk; take appropriate action regarding problem reports and change requests.
4. Collect and analyze feedback from user departments concerning analysis and design of new applications, resolve user department problems and revise existing programs to solve applications problems.
5. Provide computer application/system training for new users and refresher training for existing staff.
6. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
