RE-ADVERT TECHNICIAN II (REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING):  GRADE 5N     POST:1 REF: TUM/ADVERT/EXT/ RECR /TRC/3/ N/2023

Reporting To: Senior Technician

Professional Qualifications

1. Must possess a Diploma in Air conditioning and refrigeration from a recognized Institution.
2. Proven relevant industrial experience from a recognized industry.
3. Must provide evidence of computer literacy

OR

1. Must possess GTT I in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration OR Craft II certificate.
2. Must have at least three (3) years working experience as an Artisan II at Grade 4N or position of comparable duties and responsibilities
3. Must provide evidence of computer literacy

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioner.
2. Inspect and maintain refrigerators and cold room
3. Ventilate equipment and controls making sure they operate efficiently and continuously.
4. Perform regular maintenance work on cooling units.
5. Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions.
6. Install, replace, or repair equipment that has been damaged.
7. Make adjustment and do calibrations of thermostatic controls.
8. Install new air-conditioning systems and equipment.
9. Clean blowers and coils, check tensions of belts and motors.
10. Make plans and designs of new air-conditioning systems including their installation and maintenance.
11. Give specifications, inspection of materials and equipment upon delivered.
12. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time
