LECTURER/ RESEARCH FELLOW (ARCHITECTURE) :  GRADE 12A                       POST: 1 REF:TUM/ADVERT/EXT/RECR/ LA/1 /N/2023

Reporting To: Chairperson of Department

Professional Requirements

1. Must possess an earned PhD in Architecture or equivalent Doctoral degree from and accredited and recognized
2. Must be registered and actively affiliated with Board of Registration of Architects andQuantity Surveyors of Kenya (BORAQS)
3. Must provide evidence of computer literacy.

OR

1. Must possess Master Degree in Architecture from a recognized university with at least three (3) years’ relevant experience in either University, Research or Industry set-up.
2. Must be registered and actively affiliated with Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (BORAQS)
3. Must provide evidence of computer literacy.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Teach and assess courses in one’s discipline at both undergraduate and postgraduate Level
2. Supervise undergraduate projects and other experiential learning programs as well as postgraduate dissertations/theses.
3. Participate in the development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
4. Initiate, promote and participate in research projects
5. Participate in academic conferences /seminars/ workshops
6. Provide professional and community services and initiate linkages and fund mobilization.
7. Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
