TUTORIAL FELLOW/JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (QUANTITY SURVEY ): GRADE 11A   POST:1 REF: TUM/ADVERT/EXT/RECR/ TFP/1 /N/2023

Reporting To: Chairperson of Department

Professional Requirements

1. Must possess a Master degree in Quantity Survey from accredited and recognized University in the relevant field and must be registerable for a Doctor of philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification.
2. Must be registered and actively affiliated with Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (BORAQS)
3. Must provide evidence of computer literacy
4. Must demonstrate potential for university teaching and research

 OR

1. Must possess Bachelor degree in Quantity Survey from an accredited and recognized University and must have registered for a relevant Master degree programme.
2. Must have three (3) years relevant working experience either in University, Research or Industry setup.
3. Must be registered and actively affiliated with Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (BORAQS)
4. Must provide evidence of computer literacy
5. Must demonstrate potential for university teaching and research
6. A Tutorial Fellow shall be hired/appointed under an initial contract of two (2) years and normally renewable not more than twice to enable the candidate complete a Doctoral degree programme.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist senior academic staff members in assignments allocated
2. Teach undergraduate students
3. Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
